This easter-weekend it’s beautifull weather in the Netherlands. I bought my curent bicycle 2nd hand a few months ago and I am really enjoying cycling outdoors.

This morning I decided to push my limits a little bit and extend my training-ride from 70km to 100+ km. The weather-conditions couldn’t be better. On the map below i have drawn my route.

Basically: Harlingen->Makkum->Workum->Hindeloopen->Stavoren->Oudega->Woudsend->Sneek->Bolsward->Witmarsum->Kimswerd->Harlingen

117.82 km total. I left at 08:50, And was in Sneek 3 hours later (+/- 90 km). In Bolsward I stopped for a lunch (beer and bread with kroketten! :) ) and I arrived home at 13:30.

For the ones who take a peek once in a while at “my latest run”… I am not slacking!

It’s just the battery of my nike+ sensor which has died. It lasted for 371.94 km in 69 workouts with a total time of 38:43’50″.

I will order a new one today. I think it’s a bloody rip-off to pay 19 euro for a new sensor…(considering it’s in fact only the battery which needs to be replaced) but I missed it while running this week. In fact… i miss it while swimming as well. They  should think of a way to track swim workouts as well ;)

I decided to delete some social-networking accounts. Among those is my hyves account. Hyves is very similar to facebook, with a large NL user base.

When you finally find out how to delete your hyves account, they sent a email saying (todo is translate to English):

Eeek. The sad thing…They convinced me…sort of…

Last week I found myself throwing myself from a mountain side in Sweden on skies.
It was my first real winter-sport holiday and it was in one word: Awesome.

I love Sweden. Great countryside, great people. It’s empty (1 person / square kilometer in the region north of our place!) and they like eat a lot :)

2 Downsides…WTF with a maximum speed of 90 kmh at 90% of the roads! and WTF with selling 3.5% beer and making the real beer bloody expensive.
Luckily the blonde-blue-eyed girls do make up for that.

Give more Xmas-holidays :p
I finally was bored enough to create my own wordpress theme from scratch.
I have tried to keep it as minimalistic as possible, and I am pretty satisfied with the result.
The layout is the *yawn* 3 column one, but hey… they are popular for a reason. The theme is not tested in any other browser as Safari (10.5)…but to be honest…I don’t give a #insert nasty word#.

Todo is creating and adding some graphics…but I discovered I don’t have any image editor installed on my iMac…>.<

The next weeks I will be finishing off, but I like it already…
