Digital TV

Yesterday I gave in to my cable tv provider and went to their store to get myself a digital settop box.

I worked some years for the cablecompany at the service disruption desk, and I had learned the digital tv service and settop boxes where buggy as hell and failed a lot.

Apperently they made big improvements. The installation procedure was very sweet (up and running in 5 minutes).

We have around…erm.. don’t know really…about 80 channels now? Some of those are a real plus (BBC world service, Sky News, Fashion TV, Discovery science channel and sci-fi movie channel to name a few) and the image quality is amazing.

I am even considering to write up an email to the cable company to compliment them with the product ;)

(maybe they will give us 2 months for free….)
